We have moved A LOT over our 36 years of marriage and we have only had help from professional movers a handful of times. EVERY TIME we moved with movers in the past, we get to our new place and more than one thing is always broken and they hid it from us as well as things missing, entire boxes. One time a packet put a circular saw in the same box with some of the china!!! I mean seriously!!! I could go on with horror stories but I won’t. I’ll just say I had to put my foot down to get my husbsnd to agree to hire movers this time. I had shoulder surgery last year to reattach tendons, I’ve barely been out of a boot a month, and I’ll be 59 in a couple of weeks, so I said I’d rather spend the money on Movers than doctors, tests, and surgeries.
But I hesitate to say we “hired movers” bc our team was way more than hired men to us, so much more!! They interacted with us polite, professional, STRONG, helpful in every way, KIND, considerate…. Their kindness and care was like that if a neighbor or
friend, like I wanted to have them all stay for dinner if I want in the middle of a move =)

I loved every minute of my experience with GG. I know we will be making at least one more move and I will only do it with Gentle Giant. I have already sang your motto and work ethic to our new apt office and I will sing them to everyone who asks or even if they don’t ask! Shaun and Lamar are perfect examples of young men who will go far in life if ‘they do not despise these small beginnings’ bc let’s face it, moving is in no way glamorous. GG is training them and the fact that they were hired by you says a lot about their character, I can tell you don’t just how anyone and for that WE ARE GRATEFUL!!

Everything was wonderful! Dominique in the office, and the crew who were on site, were all very easy to work with and clear communicators. The only note of feedback is that there were some forms I had to fill out that I couldn’t fill out online, I had to download, print, sign, and scan back, which was tricky as someone without a printer. If that process could be all online it would be great.

Otherwise everything was great and I’m happy to recommend the company to others!

From the setting up to the ‘goodbye’ – they were awesome. The guys that came to VT with the stuff were very pleasant, easy going, fast, and took their shoes off w/o a pause when. inside. Before they left – they asked “anything you’d like us to place in a different way?” just really great and top top notch. Same as in San Francisco. That crew was 4 super easy going nice guys.

I have used your service five times at least. You have one of the best service from the minute. You start the order until the truck leaves. Everybody is on board, professional, and knowledgeable. I couldn’t ask for a better moving partner. Our moving team couldn’t have been better. They packed us. Loaded and unloaded. It was a long day and they were amazing. I can’t stress enough how much we appreciate all that they did for us.

The 4 movers and 2 trucks that did a great job! The lead worked hard and was fast and stood out among the movers. The wrapping of the family room sofa I think took too long (7 detachable pieces). Maybe, if two people worked it together, it could have gone faster. At the end, checking to see if we wanted things moved once it was all placed in its initial location was nice! The flat, disposable fee was also nice.

London and his coworker (forgot his name) were very professional. Their experience showed in how easy they moved a large refrigerator to the second floor of my home. I could see they care about delivering a great experience for the customer.

Very fast but equally as efficient. The crew never accidentally bumped or dropped even a single piece. All crew members were courteous, attentive, and cooperative with both us as clients and each other as crew. We will definitely only be using Gentle Giant for our moves.

This is the second move ive used gentle Giant for. This time, as last time, they did an exceptional job. Very careful with items, on time and efficient. Chuck, our lead guy was just excellent. I could see him taking the time to train some of the younger guys, something I appreciate as managing a lot of people. Great job!

While I was not onsite my colleague on either end of the move had wonderful things to say. The team worked with them threw a few hiccups and everything moved ahead efficiently and timely. From my initial reach out, to the estimate, to the scheduling and final billing it was easy and I was confident in the process.

At the beginning of this moving process, I said that the only way we would get through it was if there were three of me and three of my husband. Having Chuck, Jamal, Jackson, Patrick, and Chris was SO much better than that – it was a team that was more organized, more careful, and more helpful than I could have imagined. They took what would have been a month’s worth of work (had we done it ourselves) and completed it in about one day. It was so efficient, it blew my mind. And, even now as we unpack, I’m blown away by how well-labeled and well-packed everything is!

From understanding the scope of the project to packing and unloading, the team did each part thoughtfully, quickly, and with care – all while genuinely being the nicest guys. They were especially mindful of the things I cared most about and treated each object like it was their own.

With two little ones who need to be watched all day, having this team in particular was such a relief. They were so kind to my kids and quickly made friends with my toddler by bonding over Monsters Inc. which made the day that much smoother. They certainly earned every high five they got from him, plus about a thousand more.

They were so good, I began questioning everything I knew about life. Are chores not that hard? Is being more organized simply a matter of being more mindful? Do we all actually have time to do these things? But, no, it can’t be that simple. I’ve settled on believing that I’m simply not as good as these guys. They are elite movers (and people), and I am humbled by seeing the feats of strength, creative thinking, and teamwork they showed – all with such great demeanors!

I love these guys. They’re allowed to come back to hang out anytime!

As always the team was fantastic. I first used Gentle Giant a few years ago based on reputation. Then when I needed to move again the office team remembered the details of the previous move and made it super easy. This time I also had them pack up and they did a great job labeling so we were able to unpack very quickly. In fact, based on the labeling I was able to locate a few items needed during the transition when I realized I was going to need to move within a week of the last one. They were super amazing and got me in the first available slot due to my situation. They office team is always on top of the scheduling, getting the moves confirmed ahead of time. The moving/packing teams are always super nice and professional. They treat everything with respect and make sure you’re happy with everything before they head out. I’ve used them to move three times now and every crew is great. But this crew was exceptional. They worked together like a well-oiled machine. And they were extraordinarily careful with my one high value item. The crew was a perfect example of why I always use Gentle Giant for my moves. My journey with Gentle Giant began in March when I needed to move some furniture and put it in storage. Then last Tuesday 5/6 the team came to pack up the house and delivered it all to the new house on Saturday. It is rare to find a crew of people who are so dedicated to provide excellent service. Every encounter i had with any of the people from Gentle Giant was well above expectations. Greg came to my house and personally wrapped up all the plaques, medals and awards for my son who was murdered by the Marathon bombers. Sam led the crew for my actual move. They worked quickly but with great care. I have not found so much as a crack in any of my belongings or on the walls of the house.

The crew of 3 arrived (pre-announced) on time and did a walkthrough before setting to work. We were still trying to finish up on our end of packing, and they were very accommodating working around us. They also helped us lay an area rug and moved a couple of sofas around the rug to see which positions worked best. They also helped fit things into places in our basement (which was already pretty full) to give us room to start unpacking upstairs. Overall we were very satisfied and will recommend Gentle Giant to others!

The piano movers – AZ, Nuno and Juan – are a SWAT team. They made that look so easy.

The packup duo – Andre and Arturas – are patient and methodical and thorough, and they helped us plan ahead to moving day. Part of what made moving day so efficient is the thought that went into the pre-move the day before.

And then the moving crew – Lucas and Arturas and Valeriy – holy cow, they were amazing. They never stopped moving. They carried a 10,000-pound concrete Buddha head. They carried two concrete planters that weighed a billion pounds each. They got our sofa up five tight flights of stairs. They had to do part of the move from across a busy boulevard, because people had parked illegally in the loading zone. And throughout it all, they were calm and polite and positive and very interesting people. The conversation was the best part of the day.
They brought to the mission a professional can do attitude that made what could have been a hugely stressful operation a piece of cake for us.

The crew moved some delicate and valuable artworks with no problems.

In addition to the normal GG perfection turns out my sofa wouldn’t fit into my apartment. The crew headed by Sam brought it back to HQ and he (and Erin I assume) arranged for Melo to arrive Monday morning to do their thing. By noon that day my sofa was sitting in my apartment. This in addition to my having ZERO stress about my move – being an eight-time (at least) GG customer I know everything will be perfect With a smile.

Excellent service. Top notch. Your entire team is very helpful, skilled, and patient.

The team was, true to name, a set of gentle giants. We had the house fully packed and organized, and they had everything into the two trucks (temp living and storage) in barely over 2 hours. The delivery to our temp apartment was also super-easy, and everything got there in great shape.

This is the fourth time that Gentle Giant has moved us and each experience was great. You just keep getting better. The team led by John P. was on-time, efficient, pleasant and polite. Prior to the move, any questions I had were answered thoroughly and clearly.

Although I age 10 years every time I move (and I have about eight GG moves under my belt) I love working with the Giants. Everything is taken care of, there is always someone to talk with should the need arise. Really. Everything. I’ve done inter-Boston and long distance (to Charleston SC) moves with GG. They get it. And somehow every single employee I’ve encountered is the best.

Everyone I worked with at Gentle Giant (Zsolt B., Rachael W., and Maria B. on the admin side; Devin C., Josue F., and Moses K. on the moving crew) was great. I was extremely stressed out and sleep deprived, hadn’t fully packed, and two of the most respectful, competent 20 somethings show up with a “oh, don’t worry about it, we got you” attitude. They were literally sprinting up the stairs of my three story walk up because they “didn’t want it to take too long” but I’m pretty sure they’re paid hourly? I had to move out of my home of nearly 10 years after a new building manager took over, was violating the renters rights laws and made every interaction pretty chaotic and unbearable. I cannot tell you how truly heartwarming it was to see these two young guys show up and take such pride in their jobs.

The team was amazing, as usual. And a Huge Thank You to Bambi for continuing to follow and assisit with our move despite being on medical leave.

My first time hiring movers, and experience could not have been better. Patrick D. and John W. were so helpful in answering my questions and coordinating the move, and the crew of Shaun O., Aidan S., Antonio R., and Jeremiah E. were incredible. They managed a difficult parking situation, a lot of boxes and furniture, handled everything with care, and somehow managed it all in one day. I was also pleasantly surprised that the price was under the initial estimate. The weather during the move was terrible, but the crew was able to protect my belongings. They did a great job locating the furnishings and worked with me to place the furniture in locations that I preferred.

Moving is stressful, but this move went as smoothly as it possibly could have. The piano move (which included craning our piano out of one place and into another) was exceptional. And our moving crew went above and beyond to make sure that everything was packed well and unloaded the way we wanted it. Our experience with Gentle Giant Moving Company was exceptional. (Not surprising, as Gentle Giant came highly recommended by a family member who used the company for an international move.) The entire moving process was seamless and highly efficient, from the video-chat enabled estimate process to the pick-up and drop-off of my family’s home furnishings and personal items. The movers on the pick-up end took extraordinary care of our home and the items we moved. And, while I was not there for the drop-off, a family member tells me that this was true on that end, as well. We were moving my mother-in -law to assisted living facility. A stressful time, as any change can create anxiety. The crew of Zach and brothers Austin and Liam worked very well together. They are coordinated with each other and they perform like a well oiled machine. Zach had the lead and discussed the approach, told us about the available insurance, and the e-signing on the tablet worked without faltering. The crew were light-hearted and good spirited. Furniture was protected, wrapped, and rolled out with ease. Bulky items placed in rolling bins made quick work. We received a call about the timing of the crew arrival and it was accurate. The move took 2 hrs. Excellent!!

I thought it was going to be a simple move between two apartments in the same building. It turned out that half of the furniture and personal belongings just would not fit. I don’t know what kind of training program you guys run the team members through, but DON’T LOWER THE BAR on quality. The quality of the movers is one of the best things I’ve experienced, so if you have to cut costs at any point, do NOT start there.

I had 2 days to pack and move. Due to an injury, I was not able to pack myself. The office staff were accommodating and professional.

Lovely guys, great communication and exceptional care of our furniture.

This job involved moving furnishings and a number of 12-gal bins offsite, along with rearranging lots of individual remaining items. Our crew excelled at both aspects with impressive speed, but not at the expense of careful handling. Regarding the on-site rearranging request, we conveyed a vision of a whole collection of things getting pulled in from the walls in order to permit construction work on those walls. Our “what” was skillfully augmented by their “how”. We felt so relieved not having to worry much about the latter! Lastly, and in addition to their professionalism, both crew members were friendly, cheerful and thoughtful throughout.

From the beginning I was impressed with the quality of service I got from Gentle Giant. Making the initial arrangements and all the preparation that have to be done before the actual day of moving were done efficiently. A questions I had via email were answered promptly. And then knowing that our stuff was not going to another home, but rather into storage, I was asked, so do you have a place to sleep tonight? And I thought that was really very sweet. Anyway, I wanted just to give a big compliment to the guys who did work for us yesterday and look forward to seeing them. Friday morning to unpack and bring it to our new home in North Reading. So thank you for just wonderful, wonderful service.

I don’t know what “extraordinary ” really means but my experience was truly very good. The 3 young men who did the move were great in all respects. I will hire them again and recommend. One of them offered to pack the last things (kitchen stuff) I was going to move by myself and I am grateful he did because by the end of the day I was exhausted.
I will use them again when I move to my next destination, in a year or so.
